The story so far…
The music and concept were inspired during Catherine’s 6 week retreat in Walton-on–the-Naze in the early part of 2023... motivated by the ever-changing seascapes (viewed from a ground floor flat on New Pier St), stories in a book Salt on Your Tongue by Charlotte Runcie (highly recommended!) and the eclectic bunch of creative people she met here during her stay.

The music was recorded, engineered and produced at “Dave Studios” in Woodbridge, and the listening event idea evolved through conversations at 'The Nose’ bookshop. Catherine invited the artistic folk of Walton to collaborate and become part of the happening as The Nose Collective. The only obligation was to remember it was a listening event and all the offerings would be silent. The music is accompanied by: a film by Sally Child; performance art & movement with Cydnei B, Shane Waltoner & Georgie Ferraro; Art installation by Roger Crimlis; and Knotting installation by Crafty Warriors.
