In August last year, local designer Max Roberts had a moment of fame when his London Underground Circles map went viral on the internet. This wasn’t the first time that one of his designs caught the public eye since he completed his first map back in 1999.
Max will talk about his journey as told by his maps: how he got started, his motivations, and what he learnt along the way.
Max completed has a PhD in psychology from the University of Nottingham, UK, and joined the University of Essex as their fifth lecturer in the newly formed psychology department at the University of Essex in 1993. He has authored many papers and four books on map design, and his work has been exhibited in Germany, Austria, the USA and the UK.
There are ten different A2 prints for sale for £50 each.
